REMEK ZAWADZKI
Music Producer, Sound Designer, Music Software Developer,

“Create something! Or rather – dedicate some time to creating. Enjoy the process! And if sometimes the process brings no joy, appreciate it anyway – even if what you make isn't always better, the process always makes you better.”
REMEK ZAWADZKI is a music producer, sound designer, songwriter, and music software developer who approaches sound as both craft and conversation. With over 20 years of experience across multiple genres and roles, he has worked with independent artists, publishers, and both local and major labels, building a career defined by versatility, technical depth, and commitment to the creative process.
A Fryderyk Award laureate and member of ZAiKS, Zawadzki has registered over 100 original compositions spanning pop, alternative pop, rock, indie rock, hip-hop, soul, EDM, and folk/world music. His production work ranges from intimate acoustic sessions to genre-bridging electronic experiments, always grounded in a deep understanding of both traditional studio techniques and modern digital workflows.
Zawadzki's path began with formal training in violin and classical percussion, followed by studies in jazz drumming. He also graduated from high school as an electronics technician. And earned a degree in British Literature from the University of Warsaw. This diverse foundation — spanning classical discipline, jazz improvisation, electronic engineering, and literary analysis — shaped his approach to production as a holistic, interdisciplinary practice.
As a musician in numerous bands, he has performed everywhere from underground venues to the festival stages. As a music producer, he contributed to Fryderyk-winning and nominated albums by DagaDana and Emma Dax. His project Nienaturalnie (2015) — 30 minutes of music composed entirely from field recordings of nature — was released as both an album and a photographic exhibition, exploring the intersection of sound, environment, and visual storytelling. He also co-created Warszawskie Pocztówki Dźwiękowe (Warsaw Sound Postcards, 2016), a series of vinyl records pairing field recordings with original photography, presented as a multimedia exhibition. In addition, he wrote original music and created sound for animated films in collaboration with the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology and Studio Munka.
Beyond the studio, Zawadzki is a music educator. He has lectured on music production at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, created specialised educational materials on sound synthesis for the Ministry of National Education, and led workshops for emerging songwriters through the Blockchain Songwriting Academy. He has also spoken on industry panels and consulted on artist development, press materials, and contract structures.
- Remek Zawadzki
“When you immerse yourself fully in the creative process and become focused entirely on bringing an idea into life, you’re becoming the sole owner of your attention. Isn’t this freedom?”
From 2018 to 2022, Zawadzki worked as a producer under a publishing agreement, participating in countless songwriting sessions. He has written to commercial briefs for the various markets, collaborated with established professionals in high-pressure environments, and guided emerging artists through the realities of commercial songwriting — always balancing artistic integrity with market demands.
As a music software developer, Zawadzki has designed virtual instruments in collaboration with the company Diginoiz, distributed globally through major platforms like Plugin Boutique and Native Instruments. His work on VST plugins used by producers including Rik Simpson and Jason Nevins reflects his dual expertise in sound design and user experience. He has overseen product development from concept to release, working with programmers and graphic designers to create tools that combine technical innovation with practical functionality. He has also designed sample packs, presets, and demo tracks and is the author of Diginoiz’s weekly English-language newsletter Watch! Hear! Do!, which has run for over 144 issues and currently reaches more than 20,000 subscribers each week, blending industry insights, album recommendations, and music-making tools.
Zawadzki's production philosophy is grounded in adaptability and precision. He is equally comfortable working with analogue hardware as he is building entire productions inside a laptop. He understands radio formats, streaming platform algorithms, and the commercial realities of the modern music industry — but never loses sight of the human element. For him, production is about listening: to the artist's vision, to the song's needs, and to the instinct that tells when to push forward and when to step back.
In 2020, during the early days of the pandemic, Zawadzki together with Karo Glazer composed and produced #staytogether, a collaborative track featuring nearly 80 independent vocalists and instrumentalists, created in partnership with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP) and the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. The project exemplified his belief in music as a connective force — bringing together disparate voices into a unified, emotionally resonant whole.
Outside the realm of sound, as a member of the @warsawjungle Instagram (37,000 followers at its peak, active 2017–2021), Zawadzki gained firsthand experience in digital content creation, influencer marketing, and brand partnerships with companies including Adidas, Reebok, Finlandia, Spotify, and Canon. This work deepened his understanding of visual storytelling, social media strategy, and the evolving relationship between artists, audiences, and platforms.
Currently, as a member of RED PRODUCERS, Zawadzki continues to push the boundaries of what collaborative music-making can be. He works alongside a team of producers, engineers, and artists who share a commitment to high-quality, independent production — merging artistry, technology, and teamwork into a model that prioritises creative freedom and ongoing growth.
